Bij de voorstelling RUIS (2009) verscheen dit boek met foto's van Carel van Hees en korte verhalen van vijf jonge, getalenteerde Nederlandse auteurs: Wiegertje Postma (1987), Oscar Kocken (1983), Maartje Wortel (1982), Anke Scheeren (1982) en Raoul de Jong (1984). Fotograaf en auteurs volgden de totstandkoming van de voorstelling en lieten zich inspireren door de choreografie, de repetities in de studio en de danser. Het resultaat is dit boek vol met foto's en verhalen.
RUIS was een uniek project van Conny Janssen Danst speciaal gecreëerd met jong aanstormend talent van Codarts/Rotterdamse Dansacademie. Negen jonge dansstudenten zetten onder leiding van Conny Janssen hun eerste stappen in de professionele danswereld. Ieder heeft dezelfde droom: als danser uitstijgen boven de ruis van alledag.
